Oh, the MECCA Arena Bratwurst Cart! A gamer with a strong stomach could live off its bounty for days at a time while playing round after round of back-to-back RPGA tournaments. The photo above, borrowed from Planet 99, captures the arena and MECCA skybridge in their original splendor. If anyone has a photo of the bratwurst cart (and the guy who was always pushing it), we’d love to know. Anyhow…
In honor of the bratwurst cart, FakeTSR does hereby honor the following for their disconcerting notions of how to use the AD&D spell Stone to Flesh…
Second Runner Up:
@Irmrith In the future, the dungeonscape book will have rules for having walls, floors, celings, etc, in a dungeon made out of flesh.
You clearly share some emotional problems with @EclipsePhase, home of the space station made of meat. Good job!
First runner Up:
@RobertsonGames Stoneskin + Stone to Flesh = Meatskin
Wow. Just… eew. OK, moving on…
The MECCA Arena Bratwurst Cart Award for December 2010 goes to:
@jzeitler Temple of Elemental Meat.
Sometimes the simple answer is best. Consider the facade of the Temple of Elemental Evil as depicted on the cover of the module — and then picture the whole thing as a quivering mass of skin-covered muscle tissue. This one clearly trumps all of the people who answered with variations on “I’d turn Statue X into meat.” @jzeitler, we salute you. Now please get some help. ;)
